It's been a confusing time in the world these last few weeks. It feels like so many things are out of control. It's almost impossible to avoid the two very taboo subjects, politics and religion. I'm going to try as best I can but it feels like the two have collided and the damage feels overwhelming. I've spent a bit of time as a supporter of the LGBTQ community. I've attended pride with my family and waved my PFLAG flag. I created art and jewelry to show my love and have sold

Tangled up in the trap of social media I'm being honest about it. I sat down at my tablet this morning to write a blog about blacksmithing. My son and I are amateur blacksmiths and as we've learned over the last few years, we will always find ourselves in a position of student when it comes to this artistic trade. Yesterday he and I attended a workshop at a local farrier/ blacksmith supply store. We've done many of these but this one came at the end of a very long week for me


10 Days Mountainside
How can you go to the mountains and not feel inspired to write? I'm sitting here having those thoughts and that lack of inspiration has inspired me. I've spent a lot of time traveling from my home to the mountains of Colorado. It is my favorite place to visit and eventually we will end up here permanently. Flying into this state is never the same as driving. I think it's the anticipation of the mountain range that creeps into view as you travel that long unwinding road. Sitti
