Day 298 of 365

Bonjour

On day 298 I had an experience at the Bastille days festival.

The first adventure of the morning, finding a place to park in downtown Milwaukee. It's always the least exciting part of any festival.

After the car was parked under the shade of a tree I walked to the event. Festivals in the park always have two things: food and souvenir vendors.

I hit the food first and I had two new treats. My first, a crepe. It was more like ice cream with a doughy shell. It was disappointing. My second treat, a beignet and this first was delicious.

We walked around the festival for a while longer. The schedule board showed music but I didn't hear much. Kids were performing on the tiny stage but as festivals go this one was a little dull.

I stopped to take a picture of the replica of the Eiffel tower which felt like the only attraction.

I finished off the afternoon by walking through the vendor tents. Without a theme, this was just like any other market in the park.

Day 298 was a total one & done.
