Day 246 of 365

Sleepless and Seattle

The time change is wonderful. It's 6am. I'm in Seattle and the window of the apartment is open. I can hear the sounds of Pike Place market.

What's a chick to do so early in the morning in a city she's never visited?

Starbucks!

If you're a coffee drinker, and you enjoy Starbucks this is the town to HIT-IT! I've been told that the line out the door of the original store can get hours long. It's a little like waiting for a roller coaster at Six Flags. I ordered my regular cup after marking my order the cashier launched the cup across the room to barista. It was engaging and exactly what this tourist was anticipating.

The best part of a 6am Starbucks visit in Pikes Place, Seattle?

No line. I was able to take quite a few pictures and act like a complete tourist and the barista was a real gem.

Next stop... THE MARKET.

From the apartment I can see the back side of the official public market sign. Up and down the street in every direction the vendors are set up to sell their wares. The fresh cut flowers are everywhere and even with the seafood I can appreciate the Peony blossoms. This is an absolute delight for the senses.

Because I'm in Seattle I had to take a hike to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. This is a serious site to see. You don't have to be a fan of the company to appreciate the aroma busting through the open door. I'm so buzzed on caffeine I can't think straight and it feels so good.

Day 246 was the adventure I was hoping for.

Love & Light

I planted my #365rockdays rock.
