Day 323 of 365
Let the sun shine
The rain has stopped and the clouds have moved away. I've got the perfect environment for today's experience.
On day 323 and I made paper sun art.
I saw this in a magazine a few years ago when my kids were home schooling. Just before my adventure in Colorado I purchased all of the supplies I would need to make this an experience.
I brought it with me on the trip because the sun is always shining there. HA! It rained almost every day. Don't get me wrong, the sun did shine but I had other adventures that came to be.
When I felt the warmth of today on my skin, I knew this would be perfect.
I opened the package of supplies and paused to figure out what I was going to use as a subject. I did a test run on a few little dinosaurs and I had to try my Wonder Woman, because... Wonder woman.
I moved on to plants and a beautiful glass snowflake that belonged to my mother. There was a bit of magic to the experience and the light of the sun exposed the paper creating a negative shadow image.
I rinsed each page in water to set the image. It looked like it was washing away but as the paper dried it left something very beautiful behind.
I wish I had 1000 sheets to play with because the process was very satisfying.
